THE HUNGER - 1983 * Very modern (and hyper stylish)

Great cameos by Bauhaus and Ann Magnuson.
Pretty steamy and definitely bloody. |

Martin
Starring John Amplas. Directed by George A. Romero
(1977) Directed by George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead).
Absolutley stunning... a completely original take on the vampire myth... and our personal favorite from this classic director. The film was shot with a minimal budget and filmed entirely on real locations in the Pittsburgh suburb of Braddock, Pennsylvania. Very adult, very creepy, very inspired. Great extras, commentary and trailers included on the DVD. |

Bram Stoker's Dracula
Starring Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola 2-Disc Set; Special Edition
(1992) New Special Edition of the Coppola DRACULA... while a few performances are a little shakey,
GARY OLDMAN positively RULES as Vlad... heart-broken and enraged by centuries of isolation.
With costume design by the incredible Eiko Ishioka (MISHIMA/THE CELL) and a great cameo by TOM WAITS(!). This new DVD has lots of extras... |

30 Days of Night
Starring Josh Hartnett, Melissa George. Directed by David Slade
Okay - one to grow on! Not for the squeamish - this recent film, set in Barrow, Alaska, was a unexpected treat. From the comic written by Steve Niles (from the band GRAY MATTER!) with a cool-as-hell score by Brian Reitzell (REDD KROSS). Although character driven and rather poetic this also sports some seriously nasty gore of the "axe" variety. |
